About LEAF

Learning AF

Learning about Forests (LEAF) is an environmental education programme that promotes student’s knowledge of forests and the role of forests from a cultural, ecological, economical and social perspective. The Programme aims to increase awareness on the importance of forests through participatory activities adapted to the local needs of teachers and their students.

Schools implementing the LEAF programme are supported by FEE’s National LEAF Coordinator in their respective country, by the International LEAF Coordinator, and by the international LEAF website which provides educational resources, tools, and networking services. LEAF also promotes the exchange of educational ideas, activities and materials through national operator meetings, inspirational courses, and student camps.
