FEE General Assembly 16-20 June 2008

The FEE General Assembly 2008 was held in beautiful Kendal in the Lake District of England with representatives from 50 countries attending the event.
The most important discussions and decisions at the FEE General Assembly were:
Approval of new FEE Articles of Association and FEE Rules of Procedure.
Approval of new FEE Branding Guidelines with a new YRE logo. Confirmation that June 2010 is the deadline for phasing out old logos. Discussion about the decision of the central registration of the FEE logos.
Approval of the FEE Environmental Policy.
Confirmation of associate FEE membership for five new organisations.
Confirmation of affiliate FEE membership for seven new organisations.
Confirmation of upgrading from associate to full FEE membership for three organisations and downgrading from full to associate FEE membership for one organisation.
Election of Jan Eriksen as the President of FEE 2008-2012.
Election of Malcolm Powell, Sarah Winterton and Lourdes Díaz as FEE Executive Board members 2008-2010.
Information about the next FEE General Assembly on 15-16 June 2009 in Liepaja, Latvia.
On 17 June, there was furthermore a break-out groups discussing Sponsoring, Climate Change and Social Responsibility.
On 18 June, the Members Forum event was organised to have time for further networking among FEE member organisations. 3-4 parallel presentations and discussions took place within three topics: economy, national programmes and environmental policy in national member organisations.
During the stay in England, our host Encams furthermore organised various cultural and environmental events (including the visit to an Eco-School).
